A symphony of wings. Dandeli is a designated bird sanctuary, offering sightings of some of India's most exotic avian species.
With over 200 species of birds, Dandeli offers a world-class bird watching experience. It is one of the few places in India where you can spot four distinct species of Hornbills: The Great Pied Hornbill, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Malabar Grey Hornbill, and the Indian Grey Hornbill.
Accompanied by expert naturalists, you can walk through the dense canopy trails at dawn or dusk to spot curious Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, Thrushes, and the rare Black Panther if you're lucky. Don't forget your binoculars and cameras!
